Theresa Ann Golden

Theresa Ann Golden of Potosi, Missouri was born on Wednesday, September 22, 1920 in Old Mines, Missouri the daughter of the late Nellie Atta (Miller) Boyer and Edward Jacob Boyer. Theresa departed this life on Monday, July 24, 2006 at the Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-five years, ten months and two days.

Theresa was united in marriage to Edward Thomas Golden on February 20, 1939 in Old Mines, Missouri and to this union they were blessed with fourteen children.

Theresa is survived by six daughters, Louise Warden and husband Roy of Pevely, Missouri, Loretta Golden of Potosi, Missouri, Shirley Eye of Potosi, Missouri, Catherine Culp of Potosi, Missouri, Deborah Aubuchon and husband Kevin of Cadet, Missouri, Franny Hawkins of Potosi, Missouri; seven sons, Johnny Golden of Potosi, Missouri, Billy Golden and wife Glenda of Mineral Point, Missouri, Bob Golden and wife Janice of Potosi, Missouri, Donald Golden and wife Betty of Potosi, Missouri, Dale Golden of Potosi, Missouri, Gary Golden and wife Patricia of Tennessee, Jimmy Golden and wife Julie of Potosi, Missouri; four brothers, John Boyer and wife Mary of Cadet, Missouri, Paul Boyer of St. Louis, Missouri, Lawrence Boyer and wife Nelda of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Robert Boyer and wife Mary of Cadet, Missouri; three sisters, Trudy Edwards of Arkansas, Margaret DeClue and husband Paul of Cadet, Missouri, Edith Marler of Potosi, Missouri; forty-two grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Thomas Golden, son, Louis Lee Golden, five brothers, Joseph “Jack” Boyer, Lee Boyer, Dan Boyer, Edward Boyer, Orville Boyer, two sisters, Gladys Boyer, Mary Clark, three grandchildren, Timmy Golden, Matthew Golden and Jessica Lynn Lecorchick.

Theresa enjoyed quilting, embroidering and playing bingo. She also like to visit with friends at the Sayer’s Senior Center. Theresa was a member of the St. Anne Sodality. She loved playing games and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Theresa was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.

Visitation was held Tuesday, July 25, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, July 26, 2006 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at the St. James Catholic Church Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating. Serving as pallbearers were, Roy (Butch) Warden, Danny Golden, Ronnie Golden, Bobby Golden, Jr., Kenny Golden and Steve Merx.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
