JESSE HADLEY GREEN
JESSE HADLEY GREEN OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI, WAS BORN SEPTEMBER 23, 1908, IN MARQUAND, MISSOURI, A SON OF THE LATE ALFRED S. AND ELLEN (FRANCIS) GREEN. JESSE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT NHC, DESLOGE HEALTH CARE ON APRIL 28, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY YEARS, SEVEN MONTHS AND FIVE DAYS.
JESSE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO LOLA COBB ON JULY 5, 1942 IN MARBLE HILL, MISSOURI.
JESSE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, LOLA (COBB) GREEN OF DESLOGE, ONE SISTER, MINNIE VINCENT OF CALIFORNIA AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY TWO STEP-SONS, THOMAS AND JIMMY HARRISON AND THREE BROTHER, TONY DEVITT GREEN, WILLIAM F. GREEN AND JAMES ALFRED GREEN.
JESSE ENJOYED WORKING IN THE YARD WITH HIS SHRUBS AND JUST BEING IN THE OUTDOORS. HE LOVED TO TAKE TIME TO TRAVEL AND CAMP. JESSE ALWAYS HAD A GREAT CONCERN FOR OTHERS AND WOULD ALWAYS LEND AN EAR TO LISTEN TO THEM. JESSE ENJOYED WOODWORKING AND MAKING BIRD HOUSES AND GIVING THEM TO HIS MANY FRIENDS. IN HIS RELAXING HOURS HE WOULD PLAY CARDS, READ OR WORK ON A CROSSWORD PUZZLE.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 1999, FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 1999, AT 11:00 A.M. WITH REVEREND PHYLLIS ANDERSON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN BAKERS CEMETERY IN LUTESVILLE, MISSOURI, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, RON KENNON, FREEMAN GREEN, JR., DAVID NOLL, JIM GREEN, GARY GREEN AND BILL GREEN.
