Della Rosalee Guffy
Della Rosalee Guffy of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, September 17, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Festus, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-eight years, two months and twenty-three days.
Della is survived by her loving mother, Mary (Matlock) Guffy of Potosi, Missouri; cousins, Jo Anne Griggs of St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy Kline of St. Louis, Missouri, Medwick Matlock of Dyer, Indiana, Herman “Pistol” Matlock of Malone, New York, Mary Ann Mulrooney of Seattle, Washington; also surviving is her church family and many many friends. Her father, Nathaniel “Burt” Guffy, preceded Della in death.
Della was a very faithful Christian and attended the Covenant Grace Church of God, Springtown, Missouri. Della worked as a caregiver and enjoyed assisting anyone in need. Her dad called her “Snookie” since birth. Della loved listening to Christian music, and always kept a positive attitude. She enjoyed visiting with her family and many friends and was known for her friendly kidding around. Snookie loved her dog, Pumkin. Della will be very deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, December 12, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, December 13, 2006 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, December 13, 2006 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Rick Wade and Reverend Bob Thurman officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
