EDWARD WAYNE GUION
EDWARD WAYNE GUION OF ST. PETERS, FORMERLY OF RICHWOODS, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI ON JUNE 7, 1940. HE WAS THE SON OF THE LATE EDWARD ROLAND AND OPAL RUTH (WRIGHT) GUION. EDWARD DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE BARNES JEWISH HOSPITAL IN ST. PETERS, MISSOURI ON OCTOBER 12, 2002 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND FIVE DAYS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SISTERS, JOYCE BAKER OF DESOTO, MISSOURI AND JANICE VASTINE OF LABADIE, MISSOURI, TWO BROTHERS, LONNIE GUION AND WIFE SARA OF ST. PETERS, MISSOURI AND RICKIE GUION AND WIFE MARY ANN OF HILLSBORO, MISSOURI. PIDGIE WAS AN UNCLE TO THIRTEEN NIECES AND NEPHEWS, HE WAS A GREAT UNCLE TO EIGHTEEN IN ALL.
PIDGIE AS HE WAS KNOWN BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS, ENJOYED BEING WITH HIS FAMILY ESPECIALLY DURING CHRISTMAS GATHERINGS. HE LIKED PUTTING PUZZLES TOGETHER AND LISTENING TO THE RADIO. HE LOVED WATCHING HORSE RACING AT COLLINSVILLE, CAMPING AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME RIDING ON A PONTOON BOAT. PIDGIE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME WITH HIS DOG, MR. T. AND HIS BROTHER'S DOG, SCRUGGS. HE WILL BE SADLY MISSED BY ALL WHO WERE PRIVILEGED TO KNOW HIM.
VISITATION WAS HELD 10:30 AM TO 2:00 PM AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED AT 2:00 PM AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH PASTOR DERRY BOWLING OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE WRIGHT CEMETERY IN BELGRADE, MISSOURI UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE LARRY BAKER, RONNIE BAKER JR., DENNIS HARGROVE, MICHAEL VASTINE, RICHARD GUION AND ANTHONY GUION.
