Eddie Hahn
Eddie Orville Hahn of Blackwell, Missouri was born Monday, July 3, 1944 in Potosi, Missouri a son of Orville Hahn and the late Lucille (Bourbon) Hahn. Eddie departed this life at his home surrounded by the love and care of his dear family Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the age of Sixty years, Seven months and Twenty-three days.
Eddie was united to Nettie Smith February 14, 1976 in Warson Woods, Missouri. They were blessed to have Twenty-nine years together.
Eddie is survived by his caring and devoted wife Nettie Hahn of Blackwell, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy White and friend Charles of Bonne Terre, Missouri; three sons, Duane Hahn and wife Jody of Tiff, Missouri, Greg Hahn and friend Linda of Cadet, Missouri, Jeff Hahn and wife Sherrie of Cadet, Missouri; his father, Orville Hahn of Potosi, Missouri; three sisters, Mary Wilkerson and husband Ronnie of Odessa, Missouri, Carol Courtway and husband Joe of Odessa, Missouri, Cindy Bradley and husband Lewis of Lesterville, Missouri; four brothers, Bob Boyster and wife Ellen of Cadet, Missouri, Charles Hahn and wife Karen of Odessa, Missouri, Mickey Hahn and friend Lesa of Cadet, Missouri, Stanley Hahn and wife Wendie of East Rochester, New Hampshire; Eight grandchildren, One great grandchild; three sisters-in-law, Gay Miller of Blackwell, Missouri, Donna Bourbon of Union, Missouri, Mildred Boyster of Cadet, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Melven Smith of Park Hills, Missouri, Marlon Smith and wife Nancy of St. Louis, Missouri, Benny Smith and wife Delorse of Vincennes, Indiana; special Nieces, Nephews and many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Bourbon and Johnny Hahn.
Eddie had worked on smoke stacks for some seventeen years. He had a dream to have his own business re-building, cleaning and painting heavy equipment at his shop. He enjoyed working with the equipment and seeing the fruits of his labor as he brought them to new life. Eddie had a great love for tiff mining.
Eddie loved to spend time outside and enjoyed fishing and deer hunting. He was always working in the yard and trying to keep the grass cut. He took great pride trying to grow a garden. He loved taking his dogs for rides to the lake close to the family home.
Visitation was held Monday, February 28, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, March 1, 2005 from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with the Reverend Rick Wade officiating. Musical selections played for the services were “I Bid You Goodnight”, “In The Arms Of An Angel”, “Amazing Grace” and “Precious Memories”. A selection of poems from the family were read during the services.
Final Prayers and Burial was held Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 12:30 PM at the Horine Cemetery, Richwoods, Missouri. Honoring the friendship of Eddie, Duane Hahn, Jeff Hahn, Greg Hahn, Frank LaChance, Kenny McMahan, Marlon Smith, Mickey Hahn, Jr., Gary Wring, Bernie McGuire and Ronnie Grider served as Pallbearers.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
