Shirley Hardin of Potosi, Missouri was born on Friday, February 28, 1936 in Huzzah, Missouri a daughter of the late, Myrtle (Harper) Campbell and William Campbell. Shirley departed this life on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Crystal City, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-six years, eleven months and fourteen days.
Shirley is survived by two daughters, Cathy Ann Adams and husband, Rodney of Irondale, Missouri, Billye Darlene Villmer and husband, Jeffery of Richwoods, Missouri; three sisters, Gladys Carter and husband, Lindell of Potosi, Missouri, Hazel Smith and husband, Richard of Potosi, Missouri, Lorretta Russell of Potosi, Missouri; three brothers, Tom Campbell and wife, Mildred of Leesburg, Missouri, Albert Campbell and fiancé, Rita Ketcherside of Irondale, Missouri, William “Art” Campbell and wife, Ilene of Potosi, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Brian Adams and wife, Jamie, Timothy Adams, Jodie Adams, Shellie Belt and husband, Chris, William Villmer, Charlie Villmer and wife, Laura, Mandy Horton and husband, Jamie; seven great-grandchildren, Breann, Tyler, Owen, Hannah, Clara, Kiersten and Logan; seven stepchildren, Marsha, Traci, Julie, Gail, Diane, Dewey and David; the father of her children, William Branaugh of Potosi, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hardin in 2005, one daughter, Mary Carol Branaugh, one brother, Robert Campbell, one granddaughter, Shauna Jean Golden and one great-granddaughter, Madeline.
Shirley was a giver of herself and of her time, she was always helping others. She loved her Lord and Savior and attending the Unity Baptist Church, Hopewell, Missouri. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family and friends who will all deeply miss her.
Visitation was held Tuesday, February 12, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Rev. Guy Conway officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place at the Hopewell Cemetery, Mineral Point, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: William Villmer, Chris Belt, Charlie Villmer, Brian Adams, Tim Adams and Eddie Riess.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
