SARAH LEE HAYS
SARAH LEE HAYS OF PARK HILLS, MISSOURI WAS BORN SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 1912 IN COLUMBIA, MISSOURI. SARAH WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE BEULAH (NICHOLS) AND CARL EMMONS. SARAH DEPARTED THIS LIFE WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 13, 2003 AT THE MINERAL AREA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AT THE AGE OF NINETY YEARS, EIGHT MONTHS AND TWENTY-SIX DAYS.
SARAH IS SURVIVED BY HER DAUGHTER AND SON-IN-LAW RUTH LANELL AND CHARLES BROWN OF GREENVILLE, TEXAS; ONE SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW CARL AND JUDY EMMONS OF TAYLORSVILLE, KENTUCKY; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW JANICE HAYS OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; ONE SISTER AND BROTHER-IN-LAW, MARGARET AND LES ARNO OF CARTERSVILLE, ARKANSAS; ONE BROTHER AND SISTER-IN-LAW, EDWARD AND MARTHA EMMONS OF RAYFORD, NORTH CAROLINA; EIGHT GRAND CHILDREN; SEVEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS, SARAH WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON JIM HAYS; TWO SISTERS, PAULINE BRADLEY AND BETTY JEAN EMMONS AND TWO BROTHERS, THOMAS EMMONS AND DORSEY EMMONS.
SARAH WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE LADIES AUXILIARY, V.F.W. POST CORDIA HUMPHRY.
SARAH ENJOYED HER FAMILY AND LOVED FAMILY GATHERINGS WITH THEM ALL. EACH OF HER GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN HELD A VERY DEAR PLACE IN HER HEART. SARAH HAD MANY FRIENDS, SHE ALWAYS ENJOYED HER BINGO TIME WITH THEM.
VISITATION WAS HELD THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2003 FROM 2:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AND FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2003 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2003 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND RONNIE DEAN MCRAVEN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE REDBUD MEMORIAL GARDENS, POTOSI, MISSOURI. SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE DAVID HAYS, ALLAN HAYS, MATT CANTRELL, AUSTIN CANTRELL, CARL BROWN AND RAY GLORE. ARRANGEMENTS WERE ENTRUSTED TO THE CARE AND DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
