Betty Henson (Helms)

Betty Henson of Ironton, Missouri, was born July 22, 1935, in Goodwater, Missouri, a daughter of the late William Harrison and Maude E. (Hedrick) Helms. Betty departed this life January 9, 2019, having reached the age of 83 Years, 5 Months and 18 days.
Betty was united in marriage to the late Lacy Henson on August 31, 1974, in Belleview, Missouri.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Delinda Blanford and husband Alan of Potosi, MO, one son, Michael Henson of Bismarck, MO, two grandchildren, Jason Seiberlich and wife Donna of Potosi, MO, Ericka Seiberlich of Potosi, MO, seven great grandchildren, Colin, Kaitlyn (Dennis), Lacy, Heidi, Ethan (Becca), Elyssa and Matti, two great great grandchildren, Amelia and Bryce. In addition to her parents and spouse, Betty was also preceded in death by five sisters, Hazel Voisey, Pauline Smith, Delphia Bennett, Margaret Kipping and Laverne Giles and by five brothers, Claude Helms, Glen Helms, Leonard Helms, Louis Helms and William Helms.
Betty had a great love for her family, she enjoyed all the gatherings and family excursions. She enjoyed fishing, one of her greatest loves was the sport of gambling. Going to the boat, playing slot machines and poker, a game of pitch or just relaxing with a handful of scratch off tickets.
Betty had a way of making all feel loved and welcomed especially when she brought this extended family together to be one strong, loving family.
