Lee Cresswell Higginbotham

Lee Cresswell Higginbotham of Potosi, Missouri was born on Saturday, December 2, 1922 in Potosi, Missouri a son of the late, Lena E. (Cresswell) Higginbotham and Lenwood B. Higginbotham. Lee departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-nine years, six months and nineteen days.
Lee was united in marriage to Margaret Emma Crowder on June 2, 1945 in Farmington, Missouri.
Lee is survived by his wife, Margaret Higginbotham of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Barbara Lee House of Dittmer, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by two sisters, infant Mary E. Higginbotham, Elizabeth Crowder; one brother, Joe Higginbotham; son-in-law, Ethan House; brother-in-law, Ellis Crowder; sister-in-law, Zelma Reese; nieces, Lena Mae Grossman and Louise Reese.
Lee was baptized on November 6, 1932 and attended the Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Potosi, Missouri where he was a church elder for 50 years, a chairman of the church board for many years and a Sunday School Teacher. He enjoyed farming and raising Hereford Beef Cattle while he was working at St. Joe Lead Mining Company for 30 years. Lee also enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, camping and assisted with the local 4H. Lee was a very kind, hard working man, who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, June 25, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, June 26, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Casey Reed.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Pleasant Hill Christian Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 with Pastor Casey Reed officiating. Serving as Pallbearers were Gary Williams, Jeff Higginbotham, Cory Franklin, Chad Govero, Todd Moyers and Ron Wood. Honorary Pallbearers were Eddie Ray LaChance and George DeDen.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
