John “Bob” Hochstatter of Cadet, MO was born February 3, 1938 in Potosi, MO, a son to the late Ed Hochstatter and Lillian (Gibson) Hochstatter. Bob departed this life Tuesday, September 17, 2019 having reached the age of 81 years, 7 months and 14 days.
On March 1, 1958 Bob was united in marriage to the late Joan (Boyer) Hochstatter.
Bob is survived by two daughters: Judy Hochstatter of Lebanon, MO, Cheryl Hochstatter of Blackwell, MO; one son David Hochstatter and wife Tammy of Potosi, MO; one sister, Oneida Middleton and husband Tiny of Desloge, MO; one brother Hershel Hochstatter of OR; six grandchildren: Evelyn, Anthony, Lynn, Terry, Jason, Kyle; eleven great-grandchildren: Seth, Carly, Emily, Patton, Tyler, Gage, Lane, Kristin, Colton, Kelsey, Jake; special friend Delores Owens and many other nieces, nephews relatives and friends.
In addition to his loving wife and parents, Bob was preceded in death by two sisters: Marcella Fellers, Maddie Hochstatter, two brothers: Marvin Hochstatter, Floyd Hochstatter.
Bob worked as a mechanic in the transportation industry for many years. Bob’s passion for cars was also a hobby, collecting and restoring many automobiles. Bob was also a faithful member of The River Christian Centre worshiping every Sunday and playing in the band. Bob loved the outdoors whether it be fishing, hunting or camping, Bob was always ready to go. Bob was a talented guitar player sharing his gift of music with his family and many friends but above all his greatest love was his family. Bob’s music, love and kindness will be missed and cherished by all who knew him.
