Nazarine Horn of Potosi, Missouri was born on Tuesday, January 10, 1922 in Old Mines, Missouri to the late, Emma (Portell) Dean and Edward Dean. Nazarine departed this life on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital having reached the age of eighty-eight years, eleven months and twenty-five days.
Nazarine was united in marriage to Raymond W. Horn in April of 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and this union was blessed with four children.
Nazarine is survived by one daughter, Joyce Oligschlaeger and husband, Steve of St. Peters, Missouri; three sons, Edward Horn and wife, Sharon of Waterloo, Illinois, Dennis Horn and wife, Phyllis of DeSoto, Missouri, William Horn and wife, Gina of Cadet, Missouri; one sister, Rita Juliette and husband, Francis of DeSoto, Missouri; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Nazarine was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Horn, one sister, Lucille Rundel, two brothers, Sidney Dean, Stephen Dean and one grandson, Joseph.
Nazarine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.
Visitation was held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, January 6, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Reverend Joe Welschmeyer officiating.
Honoring Nazarine by serving as pallbearers were: Eric Horn, Ben Horn, John Duerr, Jim Juliette, Cary Blum, Jason Horn, Billy Gene DeClue and Shad Gharebaghi.
Final Prayers and Burial took place at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
