James "Jimmy" Avon Horton

James A. Horton of Lake Hanna departed this life at his home on October 12, 2017 at the age of Sixty years, eleven months and twenty-four days. Jimmy was a son of the late Deanna Mae (Birdsall) Horton and Kenneth Harlan Horton.

Jimmy is survived by his daughters, Misti Horton and her companion Chad Conway of Irondale, Missouri, Lacy Horton of Potosi, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Chasten Horton, Riley Vick, Gavin Vick, Hunter Vick, Brayden Fortner, Mason Hedrick and David Bryan; three sisters, Debbie Groves and her husband John of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Donna Waln and her husband Stephen of Cuba, Missouri, Sandra Davis and her husband Terry of Irondale, Missouri; four brothers, Charles Horton of Lake Hanna, Missouri, Daniel Horton of Ter Du Lac, Missouri, Jay Horton of Irondale, Missouri and Patrick Horton and wife Theresa of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; his longtime friend and companion, Bonnie Hedrick of Lake Hanna, Missouri and her children, Dustin Hedrick, Trish Hedrick and Tim Glore and wife Shawna; mother of his children, Joyce Dames of Potosi, Missouri and by many other dear and special relatives and friends.

Jimmy loved spending time in the out of doors with Mother Nature and all his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time at Clearwater Lake and camping and deer hunting. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and racing. Jimmy was Fire Chief at the Irondale Fire Department for many years.
