Kenneth Harlan Horton

Kenneth Harlan Horton of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born Wednesday, August 23, 1936 in Desloge, Missouri. He was the son of the late, Harold Blanchard Horton and the late, Beulah Edna (Welch) Horton. Kenneth departed this life on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at his residence in Bonne Terre, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-eighty years, five months and four days.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Deanna Mae Birdsall on April 10, 1954 in Irondale, Missouri and eight children were born to this union.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna (Birdsall) Horton of Bonne Terre, Missouri; sons, James Horton and friend, Bonnie of Lake Hannah, Missouri; Charles Horton of Lake Hannah, Missouri; Daniel Horton of Terre DuLac, Missouri; Jay Horton of Irondale, Missouri; Pat and Teresa Horton of Terre DuLac, Missouri; daughters, Debbie and John Groves of Terre DuLac, Missouri; Donna and Stephen Waln of Cuba, Missouri; Sandra and Terry Davis of Irondale, Missouri; brother, Harold "Dale" and Dianne Horton of Irondale, Missouri; sisters, Brenda McLeod of Potosi, Missouri; Belinda McLeod of Potosi, Missouri; Joyce and Gale O'Neail of Irondale, Missouri; Karen and Bill Bowling of Irondale, Missouri; Twenty grandchildren, including grandson, Brandon Horton who was raised in the home with Kenneth and Deanna; 33 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara White.
He was a member of Happy Grove Church of God and had a very special and loving relationship with his Lord and Savior. Most of his adult life Kenny was an over the road truck driver. He loved when the family could all gather for fun and fellowship. He enjoyed playing his guitar and going fishing. Kenny always had a smile and quick wit to share. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, but everyone is happy knowing Kenny is rejoicing in Heaven.
Visitation was held 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, January 30, 2015 and from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home, Irondale.
Funeral Service was held at Moore Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 31, 2015, Rev. Paul Keith and Rev. Paul Davis officiating at Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: David Groves, Gary Groves, Marck Harrington, Caleb Davis, Corey Davis, Landon Horton, Brandon Horton and honorary pallbearers, Ronnie Lashley and Francois Boyer.
