Alice Isabella Hubbs of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Friday, October 2, 1908 in O’Fallon, Illinois a daughter of the late, Mabel Alva (Walker) Barbee and Frederick Barbee, Sr. Alice departed this life on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at her residence having reached the age of ninety-nine years, four months and eight days.

Alice is survived by one son, Clifford E. Hubbs and fiancé, Ann Burton of Mineral Point, Missouri; one sister, Lou Etta Virginia Donnell and husband, Bob of Cahokia, Illinois; two brothers, Wallace Edgar Barbee of Cahokia, Illinois, Gerald Allen Barbee and wife, Evelyn of Belleville, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Bradley, Jequetta, Vanessa, Angie, Clifta, Tracy, Elizabeth and Marsha; twenty-seven great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; also surviving is her care taker for BJC, Kelly Wamsley of Belleview, Missouri. In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Clifford Hubbs, one sister, Viola McClung, one brother, Richard Barbee and one grandson, Gregory Lee Hubbs.

Alice was a past member of the V.F.W. Post # 6996 Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Post # 155, Crystal River, Florida. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and gambling. Alice was also an Avon representative for many years.

Visitation was held Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 4:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
