JANICE LA NORE "ME-ME" HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT GUYMON, OKLAHOMA ON NOVEMBER 8, 1931. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE GUY AND MARY EMILY (WRIGHT) EGBERT. JANICE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT HER RESIDENCE IN POTOSI, MISSOURI ON JANUARY 22, 2001 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF SIXTY-NINE YEARS, TWO MONTHS AND FOURTEEN DAYS.
JANICE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO HERBERT "HERB" HUFF ON MARCH 14, 1953 IN ARKANSAS. TO THIS UNION THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE FOUR CHILDREN BORN.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY TWO SONS; TONY HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, AND KIRK HUFF OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; TWO DAUGHTERS; DEBBIE FRENCH OF SPRINGFIELD, MISSOURI , MISSY MERCER AND HUSBAND ALLEN OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; AND FOUR GRANDCHILDREN, AMY COWIN AND HUSBAND ZHAWN OF POTOSI, FREDDIE NIXON OF MINERAL POINT, MEAGAN AND JARED MERCER OF POTOSI. THREE SISTERS, VIVIAN SPENCER AND HUSBAND BOB OF INMAN, KANSAS, NORMA DEASON OF ROGERS, ARKANSAS AND VERA CROCKETT OF TULSA, OKLAHOMA; ONE BROTHER, NOLAN EGBERT OF QUARTZSITE, ARIZONA. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS SHE IS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE BROTHER ERROLL EGBERT.
JANICE ENJOYED GARDENING, COOKING AND TAKING TIME TO SHOP THE NICK-NACK SHOPS.
JANICE, BETTER KNOWN BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AS ME-ME, A TRUE MOTHER AND GRAND MOTHER, SHE ALWAYS HAD TIME TO SPEND WITH HER FAMILY AND EXTENDED FAMILY. SHE WAS LOVED AND CHERISHED BY HER CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. A KIND AND LOVING WIFE, MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER AND A DEAR FRIEND, WHO WILL BE SADLY MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED BY ALL WHO KNEW HER.
MEMORIAL VISITATION WAS HELD FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2001 FROM 4:00 P.M. TO 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A MEMORIAL FUNERAL SERVICE WAS HELD FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2001 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND TIM BURDIN OFFICIATING. PRIVATE BURIAL SERVICES WERE HELD SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2001 AT THE SUNSET HILL CEMETERY. SERVICES WERE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
