MARVIN A. HULL
MARVIN ALFRED HULL OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI WAS BORN MARCH 30, 1923 IN CALEDONIA, MISSOURI A SON OF THE LATE NELLIE ANN (MOYERS) AND LUCIAN HULL. MARVIN DIED JANUARY 24, 2003 AT THE JEFFERSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, FESTUS, MISSOURI AT THE AGE OF SEVENTY-NINE YEARS, NINE MONTHS AND TWENTY-FIVE DAYS.
MARVIN WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO NORMA JEAN DEATHERAGE NOVEMBER 7, 1946 IN ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI. THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE TWO SONS BORN TO THE UNION.
MARVIN IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING AND DEVOTED WIFE OF FIFTY-SIX YEARS, NORMA JEAN HULL OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; TWO SONS, DENNIS HULL AND FIANCÉ PATTI HURLEY OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI AND RICK HULL OF IRONDALE, MISSOURI; ONE GRANDSON, BRANDON JOSEPH HULL OF DESLOGE, MISSOURI; BROTHER-IN-LAW, RALPH RULO OF DESOTO, MISSOURI; MANY NIECES, NEPHEWS AND OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, MARVIN WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY FOUR SISTERS, OLLIE MAE RULO, LULU B. MCCLINTOCK, GRACE DICKEY AND FLORENCE BOWLING; ONE BROTHER, LEWIS HULL.
MARVIN WAS A MEMBER OF THE IRONDALE MASONIC LODGE #143 A.F. & A.M. AND THE IRONDALE ORDER OF EASTERN STAR CHAPTER #166.
MARVIN WAS A SELF EMPLOYED CRAFTSMAN BY TRADE, HE TOOK GREAT PRIDE IN HIS WORK. HE HAD THE GIVEN ABILITY TO MANUFACTURE BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM FURNITURE AND RESTORE ANTIQUE FURNITURE TO LIKE NEW CONDITION. MARVIN ENJOYED TINKERING WITH OLDER CARS, ESPECIALLY THE 1964 CHEVYS. IN HIS YOUNGER YEARS MARVIN WAS INVOLVED WITH MUSICAL GROUPS AND ENJOYED BLUE GRASS MUSIC THROUGHOUT HIS LIFE.
VISITATION WAS HELD SUNDAY, JANUARY 26, 2003 FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AND MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2003 FROM 10:00 A.M. TO 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD MONDAY, JANUARY 27, 2003 AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL, POTOSI, MISSOURI WITH REVEREND BRUCE TORRENCE OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE BELLEVUE PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, PAT FORRESTER, WILLIAM TALIAFERRO, WALLY TALIAFERRO AND NATHAN HAMELBACK.
