James "Ping" Bouresaw, a beloved member of the community, departed this life on February 13th, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 27th, 1941, in Cadet, MO, a son to the late Cecilia (Thebeau) Bouresaw and Alfonso Bouresaw. Ping led a life filled with love, kindness, and a fun spirit that touched everyone he encountered.
James married the late Joyce Ann (Coleman) Bouresaw on October 10th, 1967.
James proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1960 to 1966, a period he considered one of his proudest accomplishments. His dedication to service was matched only by his devotion to his family. He was a cherished father to one daughter, Carol Reed and her husband Michael, of Cadet, MO; two sons, Rodney Bouresaw, of Cadet, MO, and Scot Coleman and his wife Diana, from Saint Louis, MO; one brother, Glen Bouresaw and wife Louis, from Junction City, KS; four grandchildren, Marly Reed, Katie Reed, Cydney Coleman, and Casey Coleman; eight great-grandchildren. Millie, Maverick, Sawyer, Jaylah, Jayden, RaNiya, Gabriella, and Hunter, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Ping enjoyed attending church, listening to music and dancing, visiting with family, friends, and those of his community; he loved to ride four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, watching the Cardinals games, and playing a game of euchre.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecilia (Thebeau) Bouresaw; father, Alfonso Bouresaw; step-father, Clyde Coleman; and his dear wife, Joyce Ann (Coleman) Bouresaw.
Ping will always be remembered for his loving nature, laughter, kindness, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy will continue through the countless memories he created with his family, friends, and community.
