James "Jim" Boyer

James "Jim" Boyer, a beloved figure in his community, passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 68. Born on August 20, 1956, in Farmington, Missouri, Jim's life was marked by his unwavering kindness and humor. He had a spirit that drew people in, often brightening the days of those around him with a playful joke or a warm smile.

Jim proudly served in the United States Army from 1979 to 1982, a testament to his dedication and sense of duty. Throughout his life, he cultivated a love for the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He was also an enthusiastic motorcycle enthusiast, relishing the freedom of riding his Harley. In quieter moments, Jim enjoyed watching classic westerns such as "Gun Smoke" and "Bonanza”.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Darla Boyer, and his cherished children, daughter Jessica Boyer and husband Michael of Cadet, MO, son Shawn Thompson, of Cadet, MO. He took immense pride in his role as a father and loved every moment spent with his grandchildren: Isaiah and wife Clara, Kaleb, Bryson, and Gabriella. He is further survived by two sisters, Chris Boyer of Cadet, MO and Peggy Ballard of De Soto, MO, along with two brothers, Michael Boyer and his wife Cheryl of Cadet, MO, and Terry Boyer and his wife Ashlay of Cadet, MO. Jim's warmth extended to many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends who were fortunate to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris (Aubuchon) Boyer and Alfred Boyer.

Jim's legacy of love, laughter, and a genuine zest for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
