Janet Ruth Phares, born in Ironton, MO, on March 8, 1951, passed away on February 29, 2024. Janet was a devoted individual who dedicated 30 years of her life as the church Treasurer at the First Baptist Church in Bismarck, where she was a cherished member. Her commitment extended to her role as the office manager at Cretors in Bismarck.
She found joy in various hobbies and interests such as reading, watching Hallmark movies, playing games, working jigsaw puzzles, adoring colorful flowers and butterflies, relaxing with a bowl of ice cream and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Janet was known for her unwavering love and faith. She had a heart filled with love for her family and Jesus Christ, whom she adored wholeheartedly. Her kind and loving nature touched the lives of many around her.
Janet is survived by her loving sons; Wade Phares and wife Valerie of Park Hills, Eric Phares and wife Kristina of Farmington. She is also survived by her sister Vickie Worthen and husband Tom of Potosi, Grandchildren, Jazmin Jurkevicius and husband Juan, Tyler Phares and fiancé Brooke; Bonus granddaughter, Karrington Mecey, nephew, Robert Worthen and his wife Melissa; Sister-in-law, Chrissy and her children Richard, and Kyle. Also surviving is her niece Jessica Gwyn and husband David, several great nieces, great nephews and many dear friends who will miss her.
Janet is now reunited with her mother Ruby (Yount) Moyers, father Kenneth William Moyers and brother Rick Moyers. Janet’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Community Manor and Alternative Hospice for the wonderful care Janet received from all of them. Her family provided wild flower seed packets to plant in loving memory of Janet.
Janet's legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
