LULA E. JOHNSON
LULA E. JOHNSON OF POTOSI, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT MIDDLEBROOK, ARKANSAS ON NOVEMBER 16, 1907. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JAMES J. KIDD AND CLOA HESTER (WILSON) WESS. LULA DEPARTED THIS LIFE ON DECEMBER 31, 2002 AT THE WASHINGTON COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN POTOSI, MISSOURI HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY-FIVE YEARS, ONE MONTH AND FIFTEEN DAYS.
LULA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO ROBERT JOHNSON ON DECEMBER 5, 1970. ROBERT PRECEDED HIS WIFE IN DEATH ON MAY 6, 1990.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY SISTER, VEDA KELLEY OF ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI, THREE GRANDCHILDREN, SON-IN-LAW, FRANK RODERICK OF TERRE DULAC, MISSOURI, DEAR FRIENDS, BONNIE AND DARRELL WHITNEY OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, AMANDA HAGADORN OF RICHWOODS, MISSOURI AND THE STAFF OF GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND SHE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY DAUGHTER, MAY RODERICK, FIRST HUSBAND, HENRY GIPSON, BROTHERS, TOMMY KIDD AND JAMES KIDD AND SISTER VALDA TEMPLETON.
LULA ENJOYED VEGETABLE AND FLOWER GARDENING. SHE ENJOYED THE MANY GIFTS OF MOTHER NATURE BY FISHING AND TRAVELING. LULA WAS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AT GUMSTUMP SCHOOL IN ARKANSAS. SHE WILL BE LOVINGLY MISSED BY ALL WHO WERE BLESSED TO KNOW HER.
VISITATION WAS HELD 5:00 PM TO 9:00 PM ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 3, 2003 AND 9:00 AM TO 11:00 AM ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 4, 2003 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A FUNERAL SERVICE WAS CONDUCTED 11:00 AM ON SATURDAY, JANUARY 4, 2003 AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL WITH REVEREND BOB BULLOCK OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN THE HORINE CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, GREGG HALL, MIKE THOMPSON, JIM GIPSON, MIKE WALKER AND MAX KIDD.
