Scottie “Scooty” Johnson of Tiff, Missouri was born on September 19, 1965 in Mineral Point, Missouri and departed this life on February 11, 2009 at the St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of forty-three years, four months and twenty-three days.
Scott is survived by two daughters, Lindsey Fontaine Johnson of Potosi, Missouri, Donna Jewel Johnson of Granite City, Illinois; three sons, Zachary Michael McMahon of Potosi, Missouri, Noah Scott Johnson of Granite City, Illinois, Joseph Randall Johnson of Granite City, Illinois; father, Nary Randall Johnson and wife, Joyce of Tiff, Missouri; six sisters, Peggy Wood and husband, Mark of Imperial, Missouri, Angela Johnson and fiancé, Vigil Sansoucie, Angelique Silvey and husband, Frank of Mineral Point, Missouri, Roberta Brown and husband Ira of Bonne Terre, Missouri, MaryBeth Wood and husband, Wesley of Sullivan, Missouri, Rebecca Johnson and fiancé, Ziggy Brown of Tiff, Missouri; four brothers, Timothy Johnson and wife, Sherri of Granite City, Illinois, Tony Johnson of Tiff, Missouri, Kelly Singer of Tiff, Missouri, Jeremiah Johnson and wife, Tracy of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; his fiancé, Julie Behrends of Hillsboro, Missouri. Scottie was preceded in death by his Mother, Jewell Carolynn (LaChance) Johnson, one brother, Randall “Rat” Johnson, nephew, Tony Lee Johnson, Jr., Uncle, “Beep” and cousin, Melody Duncan.
Scott enjoyed working with his hands making beautiful creations out of wood. He loved monster trucks and going mudding. Spending time with family and friends, singing karaoke and listening to country music was some of his favorite pastimes. “Scooty” also enjoyed going fishing and hunting for deer. He loved his family and many friends and will be forever remembered for the happiness he shared with them.
Visitation was held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the House of Prayer Church; Tiff, Missouri from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
A Funeral Service was held Sunday, February 15, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the House of Prayer Church; Tiff, Missouri with Scottie’s Uncle, Rev. Lindell Johnson officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Jeremiah Johnson, Tony Johnson, Timothy Johnson, Donnie Johnson, Nathan Davis, Virgil Sansoucie, Christopher Ebersohl and Zachary McMahan.
Burial took place in the House of Prayer Cemetery, Tiff, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
