Joyce Goodson

    Joyce Goodson, born in Cadet, Missouri on October 13th, 1947, passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on June 26th, 2023. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she knew.

    Joyce was known for being fun-loving, kind and caring. Her life was defined by her love for her family and friends. Her husband James Ervin Goodson was her partner in life and together they raised two children: Carolyn Lee (Larry) and Timothy Goodson. Joyce’s proudest accomplishments include being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

    Joyce had many hobbies that she enjoyed throughout her life such as hunting, fishing, baking and spending time with family and friends. She found joy in everyday activities and was always eager to lend a helping hand to those who needed it.

    Joyce had a heart of gold and anyone who knew her could attest to that. Her personality made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

    Joyce is survived by her loving husband James Ervin Goodson; children Carolyn Lee (Larry) and Timothy Goodson; sisters Laverne Miller and Cecelia Slatton; brother Larry Saunders; grandchildren Jaron Lee, Bruce Lee, Triston Goodson and Garrett Goodson; great-grandchild Haydyn Lee.

    Joyce is preceded in death by her mother Mary Helen (Boyer) Saunders; father Ralph Saunders; brothers Carl Saunders, Marvin Saunders, George Saunders and Paul Saunders; sisters Audrey McCoy, Mary Alice Shaw and Veronica Hanson; granddaughter Nicole Goodson.
