Kevin Dean Kathcart
Kevin Kathcart of Potosi, Missouri was born on April 29, 1957 in Cadet, Missouri and departed this life on May 6, 2008 at the St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri having reached the age of fifty-one years and seven days.
Kevin is survived by his mother and step-father, Gloria Jean and Ross Roberson of Mineral Point, Missouri; two daughters, April Kathcart and Chelsey Kathcart; two sons, Brandon Brown and Dillon Kathcart; one brother, Tim Kathcart of Potosi, Missouri; one grandson, Brody Brown; his life partner, Angie; also surviving are other relatives and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Dean Kathcart, grandparents, Gladys and Logan George Kathcart and Dorothy and Bernard Portell, nephew, Logan Eli Kathcart and aunt, Marion “Kitty” Rolens.
Kevin or as his friends called him “Killer” enjoyed riding his Harley, playing the harmonica, searching for antiques and going to yard sales. He loved fishing, driving his truck all over the United States and watching the Discovery and History Channels. Kevin had a great relationship with his brother, Tim.
Visitation was held Friday, May 9, 2008 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church, Potosi, Missouri with Father George Galovich officiating. Honoring Kevin by serving as pallbearers were: Tim Kathcart, Jerry Nelson, Joe Boyer, Jimmy Benson, Donnie Isgriggs, Pete Coleman, Scott Portell and Scott Forrester.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Calvary Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
