Kathryn “Kaye” Ann Lane of Viburnum, Missouri formerly of Mineral Point, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 18, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Bernardo and Angelina (Broncato) Nardi. Kaye departed this life on May 1, 2005 at her residence, surrounded by her dear and loving family, having reached the age of eighty-two years, six months, and fourteen days.
Kaye was united in marriage to Glenn Edward Lane in St. Louis, Missouri on February 18, 1949. To this union they were blessed with five children.
Kaye is survived by her husband Glenn Lane of Viburnum, Missouri, daughter; CoraAnn “CoAnn” Hedrick and husband Stephen of Viburnum, Missouri, son; Robert Bowman and wife Mary of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, two sisters; Concetta Baker of Judsonia, Arkansas, Vita Lowery of Overland, Missouri, five brothers; Russell Nardi and wife Dorothy of Hazelwood, Missouri, Pete Nardi and wife Alta of O’Fallon, Missouri, Sam Nardi and wife Peggy of St. Ann, Missouri, Joe Nardi and wife Jenny of Tennessee, Philip Nardi and wife Judy of St. Peters, Missouri, six grandchildren; Lori and Marvin Mathes of Viburnum, Missouri, Cindy and John Wilson of Hitchcock, Texas, Bob and Chris Bowman Jr. of Huntingtown, Maryland, John Alan and Andrea Bowman of DeSoto, Missouri, Julia Kay Bowman of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Angela Marie Page and Frank of O’Fallon, Missouri, eighteen great grandchildren with three being; Patrick Mathes, Kayelee Mathes, Denny Len Wilson, and two great great grandchildren. Kaye was preceded in death by her parents, three sons; an infant son, Thomas Russell Bowman, Billy Joe Bowman, and one brother; Santo Nardi.
Kaye was a remarkable woman in everything she did in life. She loved her family dearly, and loved to spend time with them whenever possible. She also enjoyed telling her family and friends stories about her life. Kaye had a great affection for reading romance novels, playing yahtzee, watching birds, admiring her flowers, and watching comedy sitcoms on television. She also had a passion for listening to music, especially love songs.
Visitation was held Tuesday, May 3, 2005 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Moore Memorial Chapel in Potosi, Missouri with Pastor Jeannette Bragg officiating.
Burial was at Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi, Missouri on May 4, 2005.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
