WILLA KEEL OF POTOSI, MISSOURI, WAS BORN AUGUST 23, 1906, IN FORT WORTH, TEXAS, A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE WILLIAM ALEXANDER AND MARGARET LOUELLA (MOONEYHAM) SPARKMAN. WILLA DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT GEORGIAN GARDENS NURSING HOME OF FRIDAY, JANUARY 8, 1999, HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY-TWO YEARS, FOUR MONTHS AND SIXTEEN DAYS.
WILLA WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THE LATE FRANKLIN T. KEEL IN 1925, IN CORNING ARKANSAS AND TO THIS UNION TWO CHILDREN WERE BORN.
WILLA IS SURVIVED BY ONE DAUGHTER, WILMA JEAN COLE AND HUSBAND CHARLES OF POTOSI, EIGHT GRANDCHILDREN, SEVENTEEN GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, FIVE GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, BOBBIE JO KEEL AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND SPOUSE SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY ONE SON, THEODORE JASPER KEEL, TWO BROTHERS, JAMES AND FLOYD SPARKMAN, SEVEN SISTERS, MYRTLE CULLUP, NORA WILCOX, CLARA FOWLER, MARGARET O'DELL, NOLA SPARKMAN, LAVADA WIFLEY AND WILMA ANTRIM.
WILL WAS A LONG TIME MEMBER OF THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH OF LITTLETON, COLORADO.
WILLA ENJOYED SEWING AND CROCHETING, SHE LOVED TO GIVE HER CRAFTS TO HER FAMILY AND FRIENDS. SHE ENJOYED FLOWER GARDENING AND ALWAYS MADE SURE TO KEEP THE WEEDS CLEANED OUT. WILLA'S LIFE, THOUGH MANY IN YEARS, SEEMED SHORT IN TIME SPENT ENJOYING FAMILY AND FRIENDS, HER LOVE THAT WAS SHARED WITH SO MANY AND WILL FOREVER BE REMEMBERED.
VISITATION WAS HELD SATURDAY, JANUARY 9, 1999, FROM 5:30 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME IN POTOSI.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED SUNDAY, JANUARY 10, 1999, AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE GUM & SON CHAPEL WITH REVEREND BILL WARDEN AND REVEREND JIM MUSE OFFICIATING. BURIAL WAS IN OAK RIDGE CHURCH OF GOD CEMETERY IN DONIPHAN, MISSOURI, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF GUM & SON FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE, EDDIE SNYDER, ALVA GILLIAM, NORRIS BLAIR, DALE DENNIS, STEVEN SNYDER, BLAKE GILLIAM, BRIAN BLAIR, JOHN DENNIS, ERIC DENNIS AND KRIS DENNIS.
