Kenny Bone, a dedicated family man and respected member of the community, passed away on September 16th, 2023. He was born on July 12th, 1939, in Mineral Point, Missouri. A son to the late Mary Catherine (Paul) Bone, and father Jesse Bone.
Family meant everything to Kenny, and he was a loving and kind individual who always put his loved ones first. He cherished the time spent with his family, especially their trips to the state fair. Additionally, Kenny had a creative side and enjoyed making wine, which brought joy to those around him.
Throughout his life, Kenny achieved many proud accomplishments. Above all else, he found immense fulfillment in watching his family grow and being a devoted father and grandfather. Kenny took great pride in being an active member of St. Joachim Catholic Church where he found solace and community.
Kenny had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed several hobbies and interests. He loved hunting, fishing, working with cattle, and playing baseball. Furthermore, Kenny made valuable contributions to the community by serving on the Washington County Hospital Board, St. Joachim School Board and Parish Counsel and working as a school bus driver.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Pat (Newton) Bone, brothers Bill Bone and Ed Politte.
Kenny will forever remain in the hearts of his surviving family members: children Kraig Bone and Elizabeth Thompson; Kimberlie Barnfield and husband Linus; Tina Owen and husband Bob; Kelly Sullivan and husband Kevin; Timothy Bone and wife Lori. He is also survived by Sisters Nancy Politte; Janet Govero and husband Lawrence; Elaine "Laney" Portell and husband Bill; Trish Boyer and husband Donnie; Peg Portell and husband Kenny; and Ginny Bone. In addition, Kenny leaves behind Brothers Tom Bone and wife Wanda; Paul Bone and wife Brenda; Joe Bone and wife Joanne. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Ashten, Lauren, Marissa, Jacob, Madalyn, Sarah, Gracie; Special Caregivers, Kathy Politte, Cheryl Jordan, Michele Boyer, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also mourn the loss of Kenny.
Kenny was known for his kindness, dedication to his family, and unwavering commitment to his community. His memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
