Bette Ruth Kessler
Bette Ruth Kessler of Caledonia, Missouri was born in Caledonia, Missouri on October 3, 1929. She was the daughter of Robert Bays and Bertha Lee (Boring) Bays. Bette departed this life on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at her residence having reached the age of seventy-six years, one month and six days.
Bette is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Bretz and husband Dan of Caledonia, Missouri, two sons, Terry Nipper of Collinsville, Missouri, Tom Nipper of St. Louis, Missouri, eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Bette was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Harold Nipper and William Kessler.
Bette loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She always looked forward to the family gatherings and being able to see all of the kids and share stories of the past with everyone. Bette loved spending time painting with oils. Bette was an avid golfer and was always ready to get the clubs out and go play a quick nine. She enjoyed spending the evenings playing bridge.
Bette was a remarkable person, not only for her longevity, but for the intensity and clarity of focus with which she lived her life. She will always be remembered for the love she shared.
Memorial Visitation was held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 12:00 PM at the Caledonia Methodist Church.
A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Caledonia Methodist Church with Reverend Linda Nelson officiating.
Burial took place at Caledonia Methodist Cemetery in Caledonia, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
