MARY ANITA KINCAID
ANITA KINCAID OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI WAS BORN SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 1924 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE MARY BRIDGETTE (BOURISAW) JULIETTE AND STEPHEN PAUL JULIETTE. ANITA WAS FORTIFIED WITH THE SACRAMENTS OF THE HOLY MOTHER CHURCH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2003 AT HER HOME SURROUNDED BY HER DEAR AND LOVING FAMILY AT THE AGE OF SEVENTY-EIGHT YEARS, TEN MONTHS AND FOUR DAYS.
ANITA WAS UNITED IN HOLY MATRIMONY TO WALTER "PULLET" VINCENT KINCAID ON MAY 25, 1946 IN OLD MINES, MISSOURI AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH. THEY WERE BLESSED TO HAVE TEN CHILDREN BORN TO THE UNION. PULLET PRECEDED HIS WIFE IN DEATH ON JULY 11, 1993.
ANITA IS SURVIVED BY FOUR DEDICATED AND LOVING DAUGHTERS, BEVERLY DEGONIA OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; MARY GAMBLE AND HUSBAND ROGER "BUD" OF POTOSI, MISSOURI; YVONNE SHAW AND HUSBAND KEVIN OF DESOTO, MISSOURI; LORIE GILLAM AND HUSBAND TIM OF CADET, MISSOURI; THREE WONDERFUL SONS, GARY KINCAID AND WIFE LINDA OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI; RANDY KINCAID AND WIFE CAROLYN OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI; HOWARD KINCAID AND WIFE TERESA OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI; ONE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, JOAN KINCAID OF OLD MINES, MISSOURI; TWENTY-TWO GRANDCHILDREN; FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND BY MANY OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND, ANITA WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY THREE SONS, DONALD KINCAID, WAYNE KINCAID AND JOHN KINCAID; THREE SISTERS, LUCILLE BRANDHORST, NAZARINE JULIETTE AND MONICA WILLIAMS AND ONE BROTHER VINCENT JULIETTE.
ANITA WAS A FAITHFUL MEMBER OF THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH, OLD MINES, MISSOURI AND ALWAYS ENJOYED THE VISITS FROM FATHER TED, DEACON STEVE, THE RURAL PARISH WORKERS AND ALL THE OTHER MANY VISITORS FROM THE CHURCH PARISH. ANITA FAITHFULLY SAID HER ROSARY AND READ HER PRAYERS EACH DAY. SHE TAUGHT ALL OF HER CHILDREN THAT GOD IS IN CHARGE AND WE CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING WITH PRAYER.
ANITA ENJOYED CROCHETING AND SEWING FOR HER FAMILY. SHE LOVED TO SPEND TIME AND WATCH THE BIRDS OUTSIDE AS THEY FLEW AND SANG, SHE LOVED FLOWERS OF ALL KINDS ESPECIALLY HER LILIES IN THE SUMMER. ANITA ALWAYS LOOKED FORWARD TO HER SECRET PAL PARTIES AND THEIR OTHER ACTIVITIES. ANITA LOVED TO BE WITH HER FAMILY PLAYING CARD GAMES AND VISITING. SHE HELD DEAR EACH AND EVERY VISIT FROM HER GRANDCHILDREN, ALWAYS TAKING TIME TO SPOIL EACH OF THEM.
ANITA LOVED LIFE AND ENJOYED SHARING BOTH HER GOOD AND BAD MOMENTS WITH HER FAMILY. SHE NEVER FAILED TO GIVE EACH AND EVERYONE THAT STOPPED BY SOME LITTLE HOPE AND A SMILE.
VISITATION WAS HELD MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2003 FROM 5:00 P.M. TO 9:00 P.M. AND TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2003 FROM 8:30 A.M. TO 10:30 A.M. AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
PRAYER SERVICES WERE HELD MONDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2003 AT 7:00 P.M. AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL BY THE RURAL PARISH WORKERS CHRIST THE KING.
A FUNERAL MASS WAS CELEBRATED TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2003 AT 11:00 A.M. AT THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH, OLD MINES, MISSOURI WITH FATHER TED PIEPER OFFICIATING. MUSIC WAS PROVIDED BY THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CHOIR. BURIAL WAS IN THE ST. JOACHIM CATHOLIC CHURCH CEMETERY. SERVING AS PALLBEARERS WERE HOWARD KINCAID, RANDALL KINCAID, JOE DEGONIA, MATTHEW DEGONIA, ANDREW KINCAID, JORDAN KINCAID, DANNY KINCAID AND JEFF MURPHY. HONORARY PALLBEARERS AARON GAMBLE AND SGT. AUSTIN GAMBLE.
A MEMORIAL RECEPTION AND DINNER WAS PROVIDED BY THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS, OLD MINES, MISSOURI FOLLOWING THE GRAVE SIDE SERVICES.
SERVICES WERE ENTRUSTED TO THE CARE AND DIRECTION OF THE MOORE FUNERAL HOMES, POTOSI, MISSOURI.
