Danny Lee King of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri was born on Tuesday, April 8, 1941 in Mineral Point, Missouri. He was the son of the late Martha Rose (Trokey) King and Willis King. Danny departed this life on Monday, July 17, 2006 surrounded by his loving family.
Danny was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Witt on October 18, 1991 in Potosi, Missouri.
Danny is survived by his loving wife, Sandra King of Iron Mountain Lake, Missouri; five daughters, Marsha Hodges and husband Eddie of Farmington, Missouri, Denise Wisdom and husband Paul of Farmington, Missouri, Melody Gamble and husband Ross of Shirley, Missouri, Beth Trokey and husband Roy of Iron Mountain, Missouri, Sunne King and husband David of Potosi, Missouri; three sons, Ricky King and wife Debbie of Washington, Missouri, Gerald Reed of Mineral Point, Missouri, Dustin Rousan and wife Ruth of Iron Mountain, Missouri; six brothers, Raymond King and special friend, Anita of Ironton, Missouri, Perry King and wife Betty of Potosi, Missouri, Terry King of Springtown, Missouri, Billy King of Springtown, Missouri, Jeff King of Ironton, Missouri, Jimmy King and wife Gray of North Carolina; twenty-one grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Ruby Gibson, two brothers, Richard King and Gary King.
Danny was a truck driver for many years at K and D Rock Crushing and loved his job until his illness forced him to quit. He enjoyed taking long road rides watching Mother Nature. Danny appreciated the love and care that his daughter, Beth Trokey, showed by her continual assistance in her home. Danny loved spending time with his family and friends and will be very deeply missed.
Visitation was held from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jim Cartee officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were; Gerald Reed, Ryan Wadley, David King, David Leroy King, Jimmy Dale Trokey and Stephen Owens.
Burial took place in the Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
