Larry Gene King of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Monday, July 26, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late, Laura (Politte) King and Vernie Lee King. Larry departed this life on Monday, May 9, 2011 at his residence having reached the age of sixty-two years, nine months and thirteen days.
Larry is survived by one daughter, Shelley Walton of Jefferson City, Missouri; two sons, Keith King and wife, Angie of Potosi, Missouri, Kevin King and wife, Kristi of Potosi, Missouri; two sisters, Patsy DeClue and husband, Frank of Richwoods, Missouri, Edna Schroeder of Hillsboro, Missouri; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; life partner, Michelle Allen of Mineral Point, Missouri; stepson, Tommy Allen and fiancé, Sara Webster of Arnold, Missouri; two pet dogs, Meanie and Lucy; one cat, sissy; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by three sisters, Wanda Wills, Betty Pashia, Lucy Miller, three brothers, Luther Joe King, Willis King and Robert King.
Larry attended the Life Church in Potosi, Missouri. He enjoyed playing Texas Holdem and watching westerns on television. Larry was a musician, he was always playing and singing music. He also enjoyed going hunting and spending time with family and friends.
A Memorial Service was held Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Life Church, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Harry Gamble officiating.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
