NELLIE KING
NELLIE M. KING OF SCOTT CITY, MISSOURI WAS BORN AT MINERAL POINT, MISSOURI ON FEBRUARY 23, 1911. SHE WAS THE DAUGHTER OF THE LATE FRED AND MARY MAY (BONE) DAY. NELLIE DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT THE CHAFFEE NURSING HOME IN CHAFFEE, MISSOURI ON FEBRUARY 27, 2003 HAVING REACHED THE AGE OF NINETY-TWO YEARS AND FOUR DAYS.
NELLIE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE TO THEODORE W. KING ON FEBRUARY 26, 1927 IN POTOSI, MISSOURI AND TO THIS UNION FIVE CHILDREN WERE BORN. THEODORE PRECEDED HIS WIFE IN DEATH ON JULY 27, 1989.
SHE IS SURVIVED BY DAUGHTER, LINDA CHARBONEAU AND HUSBAND LAWRENCE OF RICHWOODS, MISSOURI, SON, CARL KING OF SCOTT CITY, MISSOURI, NINE GRANDCHILDREN, TWENTY-TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY GREAT, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN. IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS AND HUSBAND SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY DAUGHTER, MARTHA SCHRUM, SONS, T.W. KING, JR. AND STANLEY KING, DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, JANICE KING AND GRANDSON, RICHARD SCHRUM.
NELLIE ENJOYED TAKING CHANCES BY ENTERING SWEEPSTAKES AND PLAYING BINGO. NELLIE ENJOYED COOKING FOR HER FAMILY. SHE WILL BE LOVINGLY MISSED BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
VISITATION WAS HELD 1:00 PM TO 2:00 PM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2003 AT THE MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
A FUNERAL SERVICE WAS CONDUCTED 2:00 PM ON SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2003 AT THE MOORE MEMORIAL CHAPEL. BURIAL WAS IN THE SUNSET HILL CEMETERY UNDER THE DIRECTION OF MOORE FUNERAL HOME, POTOSI.
