Terry Sylvester King



Terry Sylvester King of Ironton, Missouri was born on Friday, January 15, 1954 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a son of the late, Martha Rose (Trokey) King and Willis Ambrose King. Terry departed this life on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of fifty-four years and twenty-nine days.

Terry is survived by, one daughter, Chrissy Ketcherside and husband, Richard of Steelville, Missouri; two sons, Terry King and wife, Christina of Steelville, Missouri, Brian King and Debbie Borjas of Potosi, Missouri; five brothers, Perry King and wife, Betty of Potosi, Missouri, Jim King and wife, Gray of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Raymond King of Ironton, Missouri, William “Bill” King of Ironton, Missouri, Jeff King of Ironton, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Krystal, Dustin, Zachary, Christina, Isabella, Timmy, Michael, Nickolas and Nathaniel and ex-wife, Kathy King of Potosi, Missouri. In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Gibson, three brothers, Danny King, Gary King and Richard King.

Terry enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, camping, Swimming, hunting and fishing. He was a big kid at heart who always loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. Terry will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, February 17, 2008 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri at 1:00 PM Sunday, February 17, 2008 with Reverend Wesley Kean officiating.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Palmer Cemetery, Belgrade, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Terry Revelle, Benny Borjas, Dustin Rolens, Zack Rolens, Bob Skiles and Jimmy Dale Trokey.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
