Mary Louise Ann Lansing of Potosi, MO, St. Louis, MO and Big Pine Key, Florida, was born on May 16, 1939 in Seneca, Kansas, a daughter of the late Philip H. Huerter and the late Marie E. (Koelzer) Huerter. Lou Ann departed this life on January 14, 2019, having reached the age of seventy-nine years, seven months and twenty-nine days.
Lou Ann was united in marriage to Hal P. Lansing on February 9, 1962 in Salina, Kansas. Lou Ann is survived by one daughter; Dana M. Lansing of Potosi, MO, one son; Miles T. Lansing of Webster Groves, MO, three sisters; Michele Haverkamp and husband Terry of Spring Hill, Kansas, Juanita Wells and husband Wayne of New Braunfels, Texas, Dr. Judith Rookey and husband John of Lakeland, Florida, four brothers; John Huerter and wife Anne of Mayetta, Kansas, Cyril Huerter and wife Brenda of Highland, Indiana, Max Huerter and wife Carolyn of Bern, Kansas, Charles “Chuck” Huerter of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, three grandchildren; Chase G. Lansing (Skylar), Spencer L. Howell and Peyton A. Lansing.
Lou Ann graduated with honors of Valedictorian from St. Benedict School in Kansas in 1957. She later graduated from Marymont College, School of Nursing as a specialized infectious control R.N. Lou Ann worked in hospitals and nursing homes and was a director and supervisor at St. Louis County and Monroe County Health Departments. Lou Ann was a very spiritual woman who was heavily involved in church activities and the church choir at St. Peter Catholic Church in Big Pine Key. Florida and was a member of the Women of the Moose in Big Pine Key, Florida.
A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at a later date under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Homes.
