Timothy Lee LaPlante of Potosi was born October 26, 1944 in Ironton a son to the late Arthur Marie LaPlante and Edna Lucille (Mauzy) LaPlante. Timothy departed this life Tuesday, December 21, 2021 having reached the age of 77 years, 1 month and 25 days.
Timothy is survived by his son, Clifton LaPlante and Christopher Stratmann of Richmond Heights, Missouri; daughter, Tasha LaPlante of Fort Worth, Texas and by many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Timothy was preceded in death by high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years Delania Mae (Thomas) LaPlante and his brother and sister-in-law David and Bertha LaPlante.
Timothy was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart Medal for his service. He was a smart businessman and owned and operated a car wash for many years in addition to a lumber yard. He also worked for the YMCA of the Ozarks and loved working with the guests. He never met a stranger and always took time to help others. He loved his family with all his heart and cherished every moment he spent with them. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
Private services are under the care and direction of Moore Funeral Home in Potosi.
