Woodrow Charles Lawson
Woodrow “Big Woody” Lawson of Bonne Terre, Missouri was born on June 5, 1940 in Potosi, Missouri and departed this life on November 25, 2008 having reached the age of sixty-eight years, five months and twenty days.
Woodrow is survived by two daughters, Kelly R. Lawson, Leigh Ann Skiles and husband, Chuckie; three sons, Woodrow C. Lawson, Jr. and wife, Tammy, Randall L. Lawson, Jeffrey W. Lawson; Mother, Dorothy V. (DeClue) Lawson; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel A. Lawson.
“Big Woody” enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, playing cards and coaching softball. He always enjoyed the many gifts of Mother Nature, going camping, hunting mushrooms, shooting guns, target practicing.
Visitation was held Friday, November 28, 2008 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, November 28, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Roger Taber officiating. Serving as pallbearers were: Stanley Conway, Zachary Lawson, Ronald Mason, Jr., Andrew “Lumpy” Hayes, Mike DeClue and Jeff C. Lawson.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
