Lindel Turnbough

Lindel Agony Turnbough of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on January 16, 1933, in Quaker, Missouri, a son of the late Ira Hickle Turnbough and Bertha Fay (Blair) Turnbough. Lindel entered into Heaven on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, having reached the age of 90 years and 29 days.

On June 20^th, 1953, Lindel was united in marriage to Katherine (Nixon) Turnbough. Together they shared sixty-nine wonderful years together.

Lindel is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Katherine, of Mineral Point, Missouri; Son, Mark Turnbough and wife Peggy of Terre Du Lac, Missouri; Sister; Judy Weekley and husband Don of Barnhardt, Missouri, Sister-in-law, Shirley Turnbough of Irondale, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brandi, Jaimie, Jeremy, Amie, Matthew, and Mandy; sixteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren. Lindel is also survived by a host of other family members, and dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Lindel is preceded in death by his daughter; Jackie Lynne Cantrell, brother; Avondell Turnbough; sister, Shirley Sherman; brother-in-law, Donald Sherman. Mother and father-in-law, Guy, and Edna Nixon.

Lindel enjoyed spending his time with his family, friends, and especially all his grandchildren. He cherished making fond memories and watching them grow. Lindel always enjoyed spending his time with nature, mowing grass, gardening and planting flowers. Lindel enjoyed ceramics, going to church, serving his community with the Poor Boy Store and the Stoney Point Service Station.  Lindel proudly served his country in the United States Airforce from 1953 to 1957 and worked for many years at McDonald Douglas as an Airplane Mechanic Supervisor. Lindel touched a special place in the hearts of all of his family and friends. He will be missed by everyone, and his memory will never be forgotten.
