Ruth Livingston of Potosi, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 15, 1915 in Caledonia, Missouri a daughter of the late, Eva Florence (Fegley) Lyle and Joseph Burton Lyle. Ruth departed this life on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of ninety-five years, ten months and twenty-six days.
Ruth is survived by one daughter, Carol Mosier and husband, Lessel of Potosi, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jana Portell and husband, Lynn of Potosi, Missouri, Julie Krause and husband, Mark of Farmington, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Lyndsey Portell, Kelsey Krause and Kael Krause; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her mother and father, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lloyd Livingston, one sister, Elizabeth Boyd.
Ruth was the first child to be born at the Caledonia Methodist Church Parsonage. She attended the Potosi United Methodist Church and enjoyed working with the Methodist Guild. Ruth managed the movie theatre in Potosi for many years. She loved to cook for her family and friends and spend time visiting with everyone. Ruth was a very spirited woman who lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment she had with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Elder Leonard Compton officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the New Masonic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
