Hester M. Lynch
Hester M. Lynch of Potosi, Missouri was born on Tuesday, March 23, 1920 in Frankclay, Missouri a daughter of the late Vesta (Glore) Henson and William Henson. Hester departed this life on Sunday, April 8, 2007 at the Georgian Gardens, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-seven years and sixteen days.
Hester was united in marriage to David Lee Lynch on April 16, 1939 in Frankclay, Missouri, and were blessed with three children.
Hester is survived by two daughters, Frieda Madden of Fletcher, Missouri, Judy Thornton of Old Mines, Missouri; one son, James A. Lynch and wife Connie of Frankclay, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, three nephews, Collin Henson of Farmington, Missouri, Bobby Tedder of Desloge, Missouri, Leslie Tedder of St. Clair, Missouri; one niece, Juanita Harrison of Frankclay, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents Hester was preceded in death by husband, David Lee Lynch, three sisters, Zetta Anderson, Beulah Whaley, Lula Tedder, two brothers, Lewis Henson and Roy Edward Henson and one great-great-grandchild Evan Tiefenauer.
Hester was a member of the Stony Point Missionary Baptist Church and was also a fifty year plus member of the Order of the Eastern Star Irondale Chapter #166. She was a fantastic mother not only to her immediate family, but also to anyone. Hester was a wonderful cook and enjoyed sewing and working in her flower garden. She loved spending time with her family especially her beloved husband. Hester enjoyed having company and particularly her grandchildren, who gave her great joy. She also enjoyed going fishing during her younger years. Hester will be lovingly missed by all who were privileged to know her.
Visitation was held Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 7:00 PM and visitation also Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Travis Harrison officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Adams Cemetery, Frankclay, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
