Clifford Lewis Maness
Clifford Lewis Maness of Potosi, Missouri was born on Monday, June 23, 1930 in Bonne Terre, Missouri. He was the son of the late Mary J. (Dearing) Maness and Lewis Edward Maness. Clifford departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at the Georgian Gardens Nursing Center, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-six years, three months and twenty-five days.
Clifford was united in marriage to Ima Gean (Fryman) Polovich on November 29, 1985 in Potosi, Missouri.
Clifford is survived by his wife, Ima Gean Maness of Potosi, Missouri; one daughter, Judy East of Potosi, Missouri; three grandchildren, Joseph Dewayne East and wife Deana of Avon, Indiana, Jacqueline Marie East of Kevil, Kentucky, Aaron “Jerry” East and wife Heather of Columbia, Missouri; ten great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Junior “Bugs” Bernard Maness, two sisters, Fern Laverne Rasnic and Thelma Lynn Maness.
Clifford enjoyed watching television, especially westerns. He also traveled throughout the Midwest to Indiana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Lake of the Ozarks and Branson which he loved doing. Clifford always enjoyed mowing his and Ima Gean’s big yard and working on lawn mowers and cars in his spare time. He also loved their cat “Toots”.
Visitation was held Friday, October 20, 2006 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Homes, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Don Strauser officiating.
Final prayers and burial took place in the Adams-Hillcrest Cemetery, Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
