Robert Perry Marcee

Robert “Bob” Marcee of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Friday, October 29, 1926 in Steelville, Missouri a son of the late, Charles and Dorothy (Wallis) Marcee. Robert departed this life on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at his residence having reached the age of eighty-three years, seven months and twenty-five days.

Robert was united in marriage Maurie Rose Torlina on June 14, 1986 at their home.

Robert is survived by his wife, Maurie Rose Macree of Mineral Point, Missouri; four daughters, Barbara Rodriquez and husband, Lou of Bismarck, Missouri, Charlotte Sweet and husband, Dale of Stoney Point, Missouri, Bonnie Hedrick of Lake Hanna, Missouri, Rita Lahr of St. Louis, Missouri; five sons, Kenneth Marcee and wife, Alberta of Mineral Point, Missouri, David Marcee of Potosi, Missouri, Danny Marcee and wife, Nita of Irondale, Missouri, Terry Marcee of St. Louis, Missouri, Charles Marcee and wife, Patty of Bismarck, Missouri; two step-sons, Randy Schroeer and wife, Leila of Mineral Point, Missouri, Billy Schroeer and Katy of Stoney Point, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren, fourteen step-grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild; also surviving are other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilma (Williams) Marcee, one daughter, Linda Louis Marcee, two sons, Robert “Bobby” Eugene Marcee, William “Billy” Joseph Marcee, one sister, Bonnie Wallace, two step-sisters, Katherine Chandler, Stella King, one brother, Frank Marcee, one grandson, Brian Casey Jones, one great-grandson, Kristopher Dewayne Ketcherside.

Robert served in the United States Army enlisting on October 11, 1945 and was honorably discharged on December 14, 1946.

Robert was employed at King Dodge for forty-five years where he worked as an auto mechanic and always enjoyed working on cars on the side for many years. He was a member of the Frank Clay Assembly of God Church and enjoyed attending services. Robert also enjoyed watching all types of western shows and movies, watching the animal channel, going fishing, camping and to auctions. He loved spending time with people and all of his pets especially Poncho and traveling from state to state. Robert will be remembered for the loved and laughter he shared with the many lives he has touched.

Visitation was held Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, June 25, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.

A Funeral Service was held Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Guy Conway officiating. Honoring Robert by serving as pallbearers were: Dustin Hedrick, Tim Glore, Steve Torlina, Weston Carron, R.W. Schroeer and Brandon Jones.

Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Steelville City Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.

Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
