Nadine L. Marler of Irondale, Missouri was born Monday, December 28, 1931 in Sligo, Missouri a daughter of the late Alma (Helms) Davis and Marley Davis. Nadine departed this life at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, Missouri on Friday, September 9, 2005 at the age of Seventy-three years, Eight months and Twelve days.
Nadine was united in marriage to James W. “Bill” Marler January 20,. 1949 in Irondale, Missouri. They were blessed to have five daughters and four sons born to the union.
Nadine was a long time member of the Nazarene Church of Irondale, Missouri.
Nadine is survived by her husband of Fifty-six years, Bill Marler of Irondale, Missouri, five daughters, Sandi Boyer and husband Bud of Irondale, Missouri, Karen Brewer and husband Charles of Farmington, Missouri, Diannia Wisniewski and husband Ed of Irondale, Missouri, Tammie Christian and husband Mark of Bismarck, Missouri, Laura Ward and husband Mike of Neck City, Missouri; three sons, Roger Marler and wife Gerry of Farmington, Missouri, Pete Marler of Irondale, Missouri, Jerry Marler and wife Kate of Bonne Terre, Missouri, two brothers, Wayne Davis and wife Faye of Phoenix, Arizona, Gearld Davis and wife Bonnie of Granite City, Illinois, Twenty-one grandchildren, Twenty-five great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Janet Davis of Park Hills, Missouri, brothers-in-law, Hermie Douglas of Park Hills, Missouri, Everett Francis of Granite City, Illinois and by many other dear relatives and special friends. In addition to her parents, Nadine was also preceded in death by one son, Dennis Marler, one grand son, William Joseph Boyer, three sisters, Norma Lee Douglas, Jean Francis, Helen Bernice, four brothers, Glenwood Davis, Leonard Davis, Frank Davis and James Paul Davis.
Nadine had a great love for her family and always enjoyed visits from them and her many friends. When her children, grandchildren or great grand children would stop by, it would make her smile and warm her heart. She cherished each and every visit from them. Each of them held a very dear and special place in her heart. Nadine loved to cook big meals and watch every one enjoy the fruits of her labor. The meals gave her the extra time to spend with her family and to watch each grow over time.
Nadine enjoyed embroidering, word search books and shopping. She loved to spend time working with baby chicks.
Visitation was held Sunday, September 11, 2005 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Monday, September 12, 2005 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
Funeral Service was held Monday, September 12, 2005 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Reverend Ronnie Graham officiating. Musical selections played were Home Free, How Great Thou Art and One Day at a Time.
Burial and Final Prayers were held Monday, September 12, 2005 at 2:15 PM at the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Roger Marler, Jr., DeWayne Hinkle, Jeff Boyer, James Marler, Robert Christian and Archie Boyer.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
