Nancy Marshall of DeSoto, Missouri formerly of Washington County, Missouri was born on Friday, November 26, 1943 in Old Mines, Missouri a daughter of the late, Vergil Marie and Raymond Andrew Boyer. Nancy departed this life on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Hillcrest Care Center, DeSoto, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-seven years, three months and twenty-five days.
Nancy is survived by one sister, Delores Dvorak and husband, Joseph of DeSoto, Missouri; two brothers, William “Bill” Boyer and wife, Velma of Farmington, Missouri, Roy Boyer of St. Louis, Missouri; also surviving are other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Joseph Boyer and Dorsey Edward “Buck” Boyer.
Nancy attended the St. Joachim and St. James Catholic Churches always praying for her family and friends. Nancy is an alumni of the St. Joachim Catholic School, Old Mines, Missouri. Nancy liked to spend time reading, playing different types of yard games and going to the clubhouse in Park Hills. She enjoyed doing all types of needlework, with embroidering being her favorite. Nancy was very appreciative of the love and assistance she received from her family members. While at her home at Hillcrest, she loved doing activities such as bowling, scrap booking and any other activity they did. Nancy’s roommate, Helen referred to her as a social butterfly. If you ever met Nancy, you liked her, but if you knew Nancy, you loved her.
Visitation was held Monday, March 28, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joachim Catholic Church, Old Mines, Missouri with Father Ted Pieper officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Wayne Bailey, Roy Boyer, Mickey Boyer, Brian Gilmore, Charlie Hayes, Roger Gallaway, Gene Boyer and Tom Worthen.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
