Ardenia M. “Peggy” McClintock of Irondale, Missouri was born on Friday, June 30, 1933 in Hickoria, Arkansas a daughter of the late, Rose (Alexander) Gazaway and Marty Gazaway. Peggy departed this life on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of eighty years, two months and twenty-three days.
Peggy was united in marriage to Virgil Ray McClintock on February 12, 1972 in Irondale, Missouri.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Virgil McClintock of Irondale, Missouri; three sons, Billy Allison of Anchorage, Alaska; Samuel Allison and wife, April of Davis Crossing, Missouri; Ricky Allison of Irondale, Missouri; one stepson, Virgil Ray McClintock, Jr. of Lake Hanna, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Nova Hammack and husband, Jerry of Irondale, Missouri; one sister, Virginia Fowler of Mayfield, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by two sisters, Zenia Bush, Daizy Gazaway, two brothers, Cletus Gazaway, James Gazaway and one grandchild.
Peggy enjoyed cooking especially her homemade gravy. She collected angels, china dishes, Native American memorabilia and California Raisin items. Peggy also enjoyed watching game shows and westerns on television. She loved listening to Elvis songs and watching his movies. Peggy mostly loved her family and spending time with them.
Visitation was held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Pastor Jim Wade officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were: Cody Allison, Tim Farley, Jamie Allison, Christopher Allison, Kody Goodson and Kyle Pirtle.
