Brenda Elaine McLeod (Horton)

Brenda Elaine (Horton) McLeod of Potosi was born August 23, 1943 in Desloge a daughter to the late Harold Horton and Beulah Edna (Welch) Horton. Brenda departed this life Saturday, June 19, 2021 having reached the age of 77 years, 9 months and 27 days.
On September 3, 1961, Brenda was united in marriage to the late M. Glen McLeod and together they happily raised their son and were blessed with many years.
Brenda is survived by her son, Jeff McLeod and wife Cyndee of Farmington; sisters, Belinda McLeod of Caledonia, Joyce O’Neail and husband Gale of Irondale, Karen Bowling and husband Bill of Irondale; brother, Harold “Dale” Horton and wife Diane of Irondale; five grandchildren, Michael, Hailey, Janea, Jesse, Thomas; eight great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear and special friends.
In addition to her parents and loving husband, Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara White and husband Emmett; brother, Kenneth Horton and wife, Deanna Horton.
Brenda was very kind and caring, always taking care of others. Her love of people and helping them extended into her daily work at the Washington County Hospital where she retired after 41 years. She liked to keep busy and loved reading, working jigsaw puzzles, playing Candy Crush and Bejeweled. Above everything else, her family was her pride and joy and she loved them unconditionally. She will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched
