Carl "Joe" McLeod

Carl “Joe” McLeod of Potosi, Missouri formerly of Irondale, Missouri was born on Tuesday, April 27, 1943 in Ironton, Missouri a son of the late, Geneva (Carlton) McLeod and Charles Maurice “Mac” McLeod. “Joe” departed this life on Monday, April 4, 2011 at the Potosi Manor Nursing Home, Potosi, Missouri having reached the age of sixty-seven years, eleven months and eight days.
“Joe” was united in marriage to Belinda “Linda” Horton on January 6, 1962 in Irondale, Missouri.
“Joe” is survived by his loving wife, Linda McLeod of Mineral Point, Missouri; five sons, Carl Alan McLeod of Mineral Point, Missouri, Scott Anthony McLeod of Springfield, Missouri, Kenneth A. McLeod and wife, Cindy of Mineral Point, Missouri, Nickie Lynn McLeod of Pacific, Missouri, Charles Jason McLeod and wife, Shelley of Farmington, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, “Joe’ was preceded in death by one daughter, Belinda Suzette McLeod, one sister, Dorothy Schrum and one brother, Glen M. McLeod.
“Joe” loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing country music on his steel guitar and played in several bands since 1967. During “Joe’s” younger years he enjoyed going hunting. He also enjoyed watching C.S.I. and old television shows, especially country music shows.
Visitation was held Friday, April 8, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Irondale, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Friday, April 8, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Irondale, Missouri with Pastor Bob Adams officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Big River Cemetery, Irondale, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 104 Oak Street, Irondale, Missouri.
