Norma Jean McNail
Norma Jean McNail of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on Sunday, May 25, 1930 in Bonne Terre, Missouri a daughter of the late Virla (Pratt) Hulsey and Lytle Hulsey. Norma departed this life on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Chesterfield, Missouri having reached the age of seventy-six years, nine months and eighteen days.
Norma was united in marriage to Marshall Homer Lewis on November 15, 1946. Marshall preceded her in death on March 11, 1982. Norma was united in marriage to Lee McNail on April 1, 1983.
Norma is survived by her husband, Lee McNail of Mineral Point, Missouri; four sons, Marshall Homer Lewis, Jr. and wife Linda of Vulcan, Missouri, Lindell Curtis Lewis and wife Pamela of Mineral Point, Missouri, Marcus Eugene Lewis and wife Eileen of Valle Mines, Missouri, Edward Lytle Lewis and wife Debra of Mineral Point, Missouri; two step-daughters, Ramona Carol Hulsey and husband Dale of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Sheila Canterberry and husband William of Cordell, Oklahoma; two sisters, Shirley Hanger and husband Richard of Desloge, Missouri, Connie Hulsey of Bonne Terre, Missouri; also surviving are eight grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Virla Hulsey and Lytle Hulsey, first husband, Marshall Lewis, one brother, Darrell Hulsey and one stepson, Bennie McNail.
Norma was a long time school bus driver serving the Potosi School District, she cherished the many memories of all the children she transported and enjoyed watching them grow to young adults. She loved to spend time enjoying the many gifts of mother nature, working in the garden and growing flowers. She enjoyed going camping and watching the birds. Norma would relax listening to country music. She was always ready for her boys and their family to stop by, the grandchildren could bring a sparkle to her eyes and a smile to her face. She was always ready for a family gathering and just to spend time with everyone.
Visitation was held Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, March 18, 2007 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home, Potosi, Missouri.
A Funeral Service was held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Moore Memorial Chapel, Potosi, Missouri with Reverend Bob Thurmond officiating.
Final Prayers and Burial took place in the Redbud Memorial Gardens, Potosi, Missouri. Serving as Pallbearers were Andy Lewis, Marshall Lewis, Jesse Lewis, Lynn Lewis, Edward Lewis, Jr., Jeremy Hulsey, Bryan Hulsey, Josh Hulsey and Bret Hulsey.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
