Edward Franklin Messex

Edward Franklin Messex of Cadet, Missouri was born Thursday, March 14, 1929 in Richwoods, Missouri. He was the son of the late, Frank Messex and the late, Elizabeth (Heads) Messex. Edward departed this life on Friday, February 6, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, Missouri having reached the age of eighty-five years, ten months and twenty-three days.
Surviving are sons, Jim and Sharon Messex of Jadwin, Missouri; Leroy and Ellen Messex of New Haven, Missouri; David and Judy Messex of St. Clair, Missouri; Bobby Messex of St. Clair, Missouri; daughters, Judy Messex and Alan Guenther of Cadet, Missouri; Sandra and Harrison Coleman of Jadwin, Missouri; Linda and Dennis Faulkner of Florida; Mary Messex and Johnny Johnson of Tiff, Missouri; Diana Farris and Rick Perris of Cadet, Missouri; brothers, Tom Messex of Gerald, Missouri; Jerry Messex of Bland, Missouri; Jimmy Messex of Union, Missouri; sisters, Evelyn Vanderpool of Gerald, Missouri; Pearl Courtway of Gerald, Missouri; Mary Jane Zekoll of Villa Ridge, Missouri; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Lou (Coleman) Messex, son, Stanley Ray Messex, brothers, Joe Messex, John Messex and Henry Messex, sister, Anna Mae Hill, granddaughter, Becky Wright.
Edward loved being outdoors and going fishing any opportunity he could. He also enjoyed watching western movies and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Memorial Visitation was held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Moore Memorial Chapel, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
Memorial Service was held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Moore Memorial Chapel located at 105 Clark Street Potosi, Missouri 63664 with the Bro. David Godat officiating.
