Erna “June” (Strother) Meyer
June Meyer of Farmington, Missouri was born on December 22, 1929 in Irondale, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Ida Mae (Whitt) Strother and Ernest Forest Strother. June departed this life on October 7, 2006 at the Ashbrook Manor Assisted Living Center having reached the age of seventy-six years, nine months and fifteen days.
June was united in marriage to Joseph Francis Meyer on September 13, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri.
June is survived by two brothers, Ralph Strother and wife Donna of Caledonia, Missouri, Allen Strother and wife Fe of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Dorothy Becker and husband John of Desloge, Missouri; sister-in-law, Fay Strother of Herculaneum, Missouri, also surviving are several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Mae Strother and Ernest Forest Strother, husband, Joseph Francis Meyer, two brothers, Vernon Strother and Jack Strother.
Nursing and helping people was June’s life and joy. She loved traveling throughout the world with her husband. June also enjoyed watching old movies on T.V., her favorite show was “Walker Texas Ranger”.
A Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene, Irondale, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
