Michael Gibson

   Michael Gibson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and strength. He was born on April 14, 1953, in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a son to the late Ella and Ernest Gibson.

   Throughout his life, Michael was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and friends. His tough but loving personality touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Michael's proudest accomplishments were being a devoted father to his children and a loving grandfather to his grandchildren. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. 

   In his free time, Michael enjoyed various hobbies including riding horses, horse shoeing, participating in rodeos, and truck driving. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to showcase his adventurous spirit.

   He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Miller and husband Lucas of Cuba, MO, Michelle Harms and husband Jerry of Gerald, MO; son, Ernest Gibson of Fredericktown, MO; brother, Bobby Gibson and Norma of Lovelock, NV; life partner, Vernita Waeltz of Potosi, MO; grandchildren: Marissa, Jeremy, Ryan, Olivia, Colton, Abigail, Grant, Spencer, Alexandria; great-grandchildren: Aidan, Isaac, Elijah, and Bentlee.

   Michael was preceded in death by his parents Ella and Ernest Gibson; brothers Jerry, Norman, and Larry Dale Gibson; sisters Ruth Gibson, Shirley Cordingly, Bernice Gibson.

   May he rest in peace knowing that he was truly cherished and loved by all who knew him.
