Roberta Ann Miller
Roberta Ann Miller of Mineral Point, Missouri was born on November 21, 1948 in Paragould, Arkansas a daughter of the late, Lou Ella (Bailey) Wright and Raymond Head. Roberta departed this life on April 1, 2009 at her residence having reached the age of sixty years, four months and eleven days.
Roberta was united in marriage to William Adolph Miller on December 19, 1964 in St. Clair, Missouri and they were blessed with four children.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, William Miller of Mineral Point, Missouri; two daughters, Billie Jo Hill and husband, Roy of Imperial, Missouri, Kimberly Sue Miller and husband, Kenneth Wilkerson of Florissant, Missouri; two sons, David Raymond Miller and wife, Rosemary of Mineral Point, Missouri, Jeffery Lee Miller and wife, Kacey of Bunker Hill, Illinois; three sisters, Jackie Lewis and husband, Mike of Caruthersville, Missouri, Betty Jean Smith and husband, Allen of Caruthersville, Missouri, Julia McCaul and husband, Johnny of Caruthersville, Missouri, three brothers, Jerry Head of Caruthersville, Missouri, Thomas Wright of Caruthersville, Missouri, Bobby Wright of Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Niokia, Jason, Josh, Marquita, Zach, Brandie, Masson; four great grandchildren, Timothy, Cameron, Caitlyn and Jessica, she was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lou Ella Wright and Raymond Head.
Roberta enjoyed reading books, dancing, going shopping and eating healthy foods. She loved her family and spending time with all of them. Roberta will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.
During her quiet hours, she would meditate and pray for anyone needing help, excluding no one because of her love for all people, believing in the four colors of the directions and of Mankind. Roberta believed in the prophecies foretold by the elders, and worked to bring these to all people. For the unity and healing of and upon this Earth, Roberta wishes peace, happiness and protection from the Creator of everyone. “Mitakuye Oyasin” meaning we are all related.
A Traditional Native American ceremony was dedicated in Roberta’s honor and memory by Elder Jim Horton and John Walton at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 4, at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Potosi, Missouri.
Services were Entrusted to the Care and Direction of the Moore Funeral Homes, 105 Clark Street, Potosi, Missouri.
